9 to 5 is based off the grind of every day office life, loosely inspired by the movie "Office Space." Dressed in business attire and accompanied by the sounds of fax machines, the ensemble gets to work in movement 1. In the middle portion of the show the performers look back on the things they aspired to be when they were younger. The end of the production is upbeat and groovy, all about getting rid of suits and ties, chasing your dreams, and partying to the end!
This show was originally commissioned by Townsend JHS in the winter of 2010 and was the PSJ Gold medalist at SCPA Championships. This show was released for the 2011 indoor season.
