Description:

"Metamorphosis" explores a rich sonic landscape that will take the audience on a journey of musical and visual change from beginning to end. Carefully pacing the development so as to not peak early, this production will be a great vehicle for a younger ensemble to demonstrate musical and visual offerings that brings the concept to life.

Careful attention to details and idiomatic writing for all instruments sets this work perfectly in the hands of developing musicians while also giving them musical content that's enjoyable to teach and play all season long!

The gradually evolving nature of the composition gives the visual team and color guard some wonderful opportunities for culmination points that will resonate with judges and audiences alike.

"Metamophosis" was originally commissioned for the fall of 2023 and was released for the 2024 season.
