"Doorways" is a show that could go in many different directions. It was written with a strong musical focus and a simple visual idea. Mvt 1 was focused around the doors being closed until one door finally opens at the end. Mvt 2 was about different sections coming and going through the doors while mvt 3 was written to the idea that everyone is moving through the doors at the end. Narration could easily be added to help steer some ideas. Tons of potential here!
"Doorways" was originally commissioned for Cy-Fair HS was the Scholastic Open Class Silver Medalist at the TCGC championships in 2017. This show was released for the 2018 indoor season and has never been a finalist WGI championships.
