Land of the Free is a timeless patriotic show with references to classic American musical literature, western musical styles through several eras, and a nod to historical moments. Mvt 1 highlights ideas from the founding of the country, independence, and the sounds of the American Frontier. Mvt 2 is a solemn and poignant tribute to the Fallen Soldier. Mvt 3 completes the show with a celebration of America that kicks off with jazz melodies and then weaves in patriotic songs, My Country Tis' of Thee and God Bless America (both public domain), to complete this production!
There is a simplified battery version as well. Ask upon inquiry if interested. There are not full ensemble mp3's with the simplified battery parts, but there are battery only mp3's.
This show was originally commissioned for the fall of 2011 and was released for the 2012 season.
