Evocative, mystical soundscapes and textures combine to transport the audience to the rainforest and create an instantly memorable identity for the ensemble. Vibrant colors and lush textures both visually and musically, this will be a great choice to push both your design team and students to the next level! World Percussion elements will be a plenty, but combined with a more orchestral film score approach with strong melodies and development along with immersive sound design.
This show features a Flute and Bari/Euph solo in mvt 1, a Flute solo in mvt 2 and an Alto sax solo in mvt 3.
"Spirits of the Amazon" was originally commissioned for the fall of 2025 and was released for the 2026 season.
