"Dear younger me, there's a lot that you don't know..." Letters to my Younger Self is based off the idea of being to able to go back and try to tell your younger self all the things you've learned along the way. The use of the a visual Ensemble as the younger self and battery as the older self is a great way to help show the concept throughout. This is perfect for the ensemble looking to take a more musical and emotional route.

This show was originally an Independent World class finalist at WGI Championships in 2025 performed by POW Percussion. This show was released for the 2026 indoor season and was written by Eric Shriver and Trent Gronewold with program coordination by John Mapes.

There is an additional $320 publisher fee (approximate and subject to change) for the use of the song, “Getting Older" by Billie Eilish and $350 fee for use of the song "You'll be Alright Kid" by Alex Warren. (The Alex Warren material can be omitted in the 2nd movement if desired since it's just audio layed on top of different music)
