This show transforms the entire percussion ensemble into the moving parts of one massive machine. Visual and musical repetition is a vital theme to portray the mechanical nature of the production using sounds that are industrial and unique with a driving intensity.
Creating various gears, pistons, belts, etc all give way to infinite visual and general effect opportunities through the use of machine-inspired movement, drill, and use of props.
Mechanize was a WGI A Class finalist with Foothill HS in 2015.
This show was originally commissioned for the fall of 2012 and was released for the 2014 indoor season as a custom version adapted for indoor percussion.
